Karl has worked in the landscape and environmental sectors since 1996, and has been a team member at Crestwood since 2008 (and a Director since 2009). He has overseen the introduction and development of a number of the Company’s consultancy services, including landscape architecture, ecology, 3D CAD and Visualisation, augmented reality, eDNA analysis, arboriculture and heritage. He is a Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI), Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv.), Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA) and a full member of the Institute of Agricultural Management (MIAgrM). Karl is also a current active member of the Technical Committee of the Landscape Institute, has acted as a Mentor for Pathway to Chartership and was a previous committee member of the UK branch of the International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE UK).
Karl has worked on a variety of large-scale development projects including numerous quarries, landfills, wind farms, waste management facilities and housing and commercial developments and acted as an Expert Witness on Green Belt, landscape and visual issues at Public Inquiry for a number of different developments. He has also authored and co-authored a number of technical documents (including BS42020: ‘Biodiversity – Code of practice for planning and development’). His broad range of experience in industry and consultancy relating to landscape architecture, environmental impact assessment, planning and management provides a solid base for the provision and ongoing development of the Company’s services.
