Testimonials

Crestwood Environmental is committed to achieving the highest standards in everything we do, and we are proud to have received the following testimonials from our valued clients and partners.

Ecological services

Crestwood Environmental has worked on various projects protecting a range of protected species, including Badgers and Great Crested Newts, in relation to numerous sites including quarries, landfills and residential developments:

“We are very impressed with Crestwood and have worked with them on a variety of projects over the last three years.  All of their staff are friendly, approachable and proactive in making decisions.  They are able to make quick assessments and provide practical solutions on site, which is crucial for us to meet deadlines.  We often work antisocial hours and Crestwood always respond to queries and are happy to help, even outside of office hours.  We would highly recommend them as a company and look forward to working with them on many more projects in the future.”

– Neil Perks, Director, Greenfields Countryside Ltd.

In relation to ecology and arboricultural work undertaken for some potential school sites in Milton Keynes:

“I am very pleased to confirm that the planning applications have been submitted this afternoon. The client has been informed and passes on their thanks to the team. I would like to add to this and say thank you on behalf of our team for your hard work and cooperation in getting us to this point in what has been a very short timescale. I look forward to continued success as we move toward getting the schemes in contract and on site.”

We carried out an ecological and landscape survey and management plans for a large scale quarry extension in the West Midlands:

“The Council Planning Committee voted unanimously in favour of our proposals for the extension to our quarry, thereby securing long term supplies from the quarry. This project has been a long time in the making (nearly five years in fact), and has absorbed considerable resources, but considering that our proposals involve the removal of a wildlife designation and location in the Green Belt, to then get it unanimously approved (without having to go to appeal) is no mean achievement. Add to this the fact that the ecological mitigation works we are now committed to are on an old and contaminated landfill, and on land that we don’t need to buy, I think we have something of a ‘result’! Thank you very much (and well done) to all who have been involved.”

Heritage

We provided an archaeological desk based assessment, Heritage Statement, ecological assessment and landscape design for an Ash Recycling Facility in the West Midlands:

“I am delighted to confirm that the application for planning permission was granted today. The vote to approve was unanimous and there were no objections. Thank you very much for all your hard work that went in to achieving this result.”

– Planning Director

Landscape Architecture

We provided a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Landscape Design and Arboricultural inputs in relation to a planning application for an anaerobic digestion plant in East Anglia:

“We knew from the start this would be a tight programme and I am very grateful to you all for all the effort, expertise, flexibility and professionalism which has been evident throughout the process thus far and which has enabled us to meet the target of getting this application validated before Christmas.  It is a pleasure working with you all. I am aware that many of you are very ably supported by colleagues, many of whom I do not know but whose roles and efforts have been equally important in getting to this point and I should be very grateful if you would please pass on my thanks and appreciation for their valuable contribution.”

 – Property Manager

We provided a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment ES Chapter with photomontages and an Archaeology and Cultural Heritage assessment for a power station in Derbyshire:

“The scheme was unanimously granted planning consent by the County Council yesterday. Big thank you to everyone who worked on the project, especially given the challenging timescales set by the client!”

– Senior Planning Consultant

Environmental Permitting

We were involved in the coordination of environmental inputs and prepared a permit application for a site near Leeds:

“Many thanks for your hard work on the application, particularly when we were sorted out amending the design and boundaries post submission. It was worthwhile ensuring the permit was correct to cover what was being engineered.”
