Senior Environmental Consultant

Crestwood Environmental Ltd. is a well-established multi-disciplinary company with international backing and connections, providing environmental planning and associated expertise (including landscape, ecology, archaeology, noise and permitting consultancy) and is proud to be a Chartered Environmentalist Employer Champion.
We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant or Senior Environmental Consultant to join us and assist in developing the respective area of the business and mentoring the environmental team.
The role will require an environmental professional competent in areas of technical expertise, team leadership, client relationship, project management, business development and with practical experience in Environmental Permitting (including ancillary FPPs, CEMPs etc.). Good practical knowledge of related disciplines or experience of working closely with related consultants (waste, hydrogeology, geo-environmental, flood risk, contaminated land etc.) will also be of interest. The role will be wide-ranging (with ‘office’ and field-based assignments).
The successful candidate will be supported by senior management. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate suitability in relation to several areas, including:
• Qualified to at least degree level in a relevant subject or with significant industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduate consultancy experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. CIWM, CIWEM, IEMA or SocEnv).
• Practical experience Environmental Permitting and related disciplines.
• Familiarity with relevant Health and Safety at Work requirements.
• Proactive confident communicator with a friendly, collaborative, innovative and practical ‘can do’ approach, organisational, team management.
• Good commercial awareness and client-consultant relationship management skills.
• Good IT literacy (MS Office at least).
• Excellent report-writing and technical proofing skills.
Whilst relevant experience in consultancy is desirable applicants who can demonstrate experience in direct communication with clients and other stakeholders may be considered.
As the role requires working on projects around the UK, a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and ability and willingness to drive to project locations around the UK, sometimes with overnight stays, will be required.
