Protected Species Surveys

Protected Species Surveys are normally required for any development that may have an impact upon a certain animal species or their habitat.  These surveys will identify the presence of a protected species upon a site to ascertain the levels and nature of activity, identify breeding sites , hibernacula or valuable habitat and assess the likelihood and level of impact of your proposed development.  Crestwood Environmentals' specialist staff and supporting associates can undertake surveys for the following species:

Badger
Bats
Birds
Dormouse
Great Crested Newt

Invertebrates
Otter
Reptiles
Water Vole
White Clawed Crayfish

Our licensed staff specialise in working with our clients to achieve the results they want from their development whilst staying within wildlife legislation and guidelines.  Full reporting and detailed mapping are provided.  We can also advise you regarding the legal implications of developments, and how to avoid or mitigate impacts, as well as European Protected Species (EPS) license applications.
