Personnel Bioaerosol Monitoring
Crestwood Environmental Ltd offers a monitoring service which measures individual workers exposure to bioaerosols when working on composting or organic waste treatment sites. Monitoring is undertaken using a personal microbiological pollutants rotating cup sampler which measures individual worker exposure to bacteria, fungus and moulds.
The sampler is battery operated, light and easy to wear and offers full shift autonomy. The sampler can be worn on the workers chest or alternatively placed in a fixed position in the work zone or in any other place for ambient measurement. The sampler operates in every position and is unaffected by movement. The sampler is constructed of intrinsically safe materials conforming to European standards for use in explosive atmospheres.
Workers exposure to inhalable dust fractions can also be carried out in conjunction with Bioaerosol monitoring for workers operating on your site. The sampling methodology is designed to assess potential operative exposure in accordance with guidance published by the HSE including HSG173 ‘Monitoring strategies for toxic substances’.
Both measurements of bioaerosols and inhalable dust will provide valuable information to employers and their staff working on open air windrow composting sites and other organic waste treatment facilities
