A number of activities have the capability to generate indoor and outdoor particulates, including activities associated with construction/demolition sites, manufacturing industries, mineral extraction processes, waste transfer and treatment operations, and agricultural practises. This can be a health hazard to those exposed to them over a significant length of time, thus causing concern for occupational health bodies and regulatory authorities.
Our personnel monitoring equipment obtain particulate samples, which are then analysed by our in house laboratory service, in order to assess the potential operative exposure in accordance with guidance published by the HSE.
We measure the levels of nuisance dust at the site boundary and/or at other agreed locations, in conjunction with meteorological data and provide a detailed report. Our boundary dust monitoring is undertaken by experienced staff and aims to satisfy any Environmental Risk Assessments and Environmental Permitting Requirements.
