Desk studies are the first step in ascertaining the nature of protected species or habitats in a given area. Crestwood Environmental provides full desk study reports for your site.
We will facilitate and collate information on protected sites and species records within a given radius, gathering information from biological records centres, local conservation groups, SNCO's and from on-line resources including the NBN Gateway and Magic.
This invaluable information can be used to determine the need for protected species surveys, support planning applications and inform future survey work, including baseline data for EcIA's.
