Shire Oak Quarry - Proposed Eastern Extension

Update (03/10/16) - A technical IT issue has been rectified in respect of the consultation email address and this should now be working again. We apologise for any inconvenience to those who have been unable to email the consultation address. Any feedback subsequently received this week will be duly noted. Further to the public exhibition on the 30th September 2016, the ‘Context Plans’, from the exhibition, showing distance markers from the proposed extraction area are now also available as PDF downloads.    

In the near future JPE Holdings Ltd. will submit a planning application to request permission for an eastern extension to Shire Oak Quarry and a revised restoration across the entire site – consolidating all previous permissions at the site. The  revised quarry proposals allow for restoration by the end of 2028. The additional extraction area would be over 250m distant from Stonnall Village at its closest point to the settlement edge (see 'Context Plans').
